The College Entrance Game Plan Co-Author, College and Beyond, LLC Founder and CEO Dan Bisig will be presenting two sessions for the community regarding the college and career planning process in Perrysburg, Ohio on October 24th and 25th. Mr. Bisig is being brought to the community by the Perrysburg Junior High Parent’s Organization, Perrysburg Schools Foundation and Adam Day, Wealth Management Advisor with Northwestern Mutual.
“Isn’t middle school a little early to start thinking about college?” “The seventh and eighth grades are the perfect time to start a student’s interest and passion inventories and to begin the career exploration process” states Dan Bisig. “There are even college scholarships available for students all the way down to the elementary school level.”
The process of picking a major or career, dealing with the college admissions process and paying for college can be stressful and intimidating. Regardless of income, assets or student accomplishments, there is a right fit college for every student. “Families work hard to maximize their budgets and create a future for their children. The problem is that the cost of college education keeps rising!”
The first session “Ten Costliest Mistakes Parents Make in the College Process” will be held on Tuesday, October 24th starting at 6:30 pm in the Perrysburg Junior High Auditorium (550 East South Boundary).
The second session “How Grandparents May Help with their Grandchildren’s Education” will be held on Wednesday, October 25th at 10:00 am in the Commodore Building cafeteria (140 E. Indiana Ave).
Both events are free and open to the public whether Perrysburg schools are attended or not and regardless of grade. Please reserve your seat by emailing Marissa Dombrowsky at mdombrowsky@perrysburgschools.net or call 419-874-9131 ext 2158 with the name and number attending.
Dan is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and began his career in 1991 in the insurance and investment industry working as a financial planner. In 2006, he formed College and Beyond after a client came to him with a major problem. They had two daughters and a son attending private schools and were ready to send their first daughter off to college, but Mom and Dad had only saved $5,000. Dan was able to help them put together and integrated funding plan that worked for all three children.
